「 Fragility is not a weakness, it's a gift that teaches you to become stronger 」

Kyouka

Description

Sometimes, living a rather normal life could be much easier said than done. Despite her top grades in the academy, a young Kyouka always felt like everything she did was a drag, she felt aimless. Years leading up to her graduation, she picked up skills in archery to prepare her great escape.

Not showing up for her Valedictorian speech, all that's left behind is a note:
"I'm out to find my own dreams, I'll be back to give this speech.. sometime!"

Months after Kyouka travelled far, far way into the mountains, away from any civilization, she found a young injured girl unconscious at a riverbed. That girl did not know how to speak or read, let alone knowing how to live life.

Kyouka knew she had to save the girl.

After their fateful meeting, Kyouka spent years building the girl back up, taking care of her and truly loving her. To cherish their bond, she and the girl wore feathers on their heads, representing their freedom to soar the world.

"You don't have a name now do you?" Kyouka asks the girl as she looks down and shakes her head. "How about I name you... Kirin? Just like the beautiful mythical being-- Spending the years with you felt like a blessing.

You taught me that happiness is truly about giving and caring for others."

Years after her great escape, Kyouka returned to the city living with Kirin and landing herself into being an instructor at an elementary school.

There are various scents stimulating my sense of smell and filling my chest...

The wind wiggles my hair and blows around my body...

The sun's ray pours down on my skin and I can feel it warming my cheeks...

I didn't know the world was such a beautiful place.
